The screen is not hard once you know the main words. Most machines ask the same questions: scan the item, choose a bag, select payment, and decide whether you want a receipt.

Self-checkout machines in Korea usually use short button words. Look for the words that tell you what to do next.

The bag question comes up often
In many Korean stores, bags are not automatically free. The machine may ask if you need a bag before you pay. If you brought your own bag, choose no.
