# Korean Words You See on Apartment Elevators

Korean apartment elevators are full of tiny words. Most are simple, but when you are new to Korea, even a button can make you pause.

## The buttons you will use first

The two most useful words are 열림 and 닫힘. They are often on the door-open and door-close buttons. In older buildings or small elevators, the icons may be small, so the Korean words help.
