Small errands can feel harder than big travel moments. At a store, pharmacy, dry cleaner, café, or station counter, you often need one quick sentence — not a long conversation.
This free phrase card is designed for those moments. Save it, screenshot it, or copy the phrases into your notes app before you go out in Korea.

How to use this card

Do not try to memorize every sentence at once. Pick three phrases that match your day.
If you are shopping, choose the price and card phrases. If you are picking something up, choose the pickup-time phrase. If you are lost inside a building, choose the location phrases.

Quick location phrases

Korean | Pronunciation | Meaning
어디예요? | eodi-yeyo? | Where is it?
화장실 어디예요? | hwajangsil eodi-yeyo? | Where is the restroom?
계산대 어디예요? | gyesandae eodi-yeyo? | Where is the checkout counter?
이쪽 맞아요? | ijjok majayo? | Is this the right way?
여기서 기다리면 돼요? | yeogiseo gidarimyeon dwaeyo? | Should I wait here?
이쪽 맞아요? is useful when you are already walking or pointing in one direction. It helps you confirm before you waste time.

Asking for help without a long explanation

Korean | Pronunciation | Meaning
도와주세요 | dowajuseyo | Please help me
잠시만요 | jamsimanyo | One moment, please
다시 말해 주세요 | dasi malhae juseyo | Please say it again
천천히 말해 주세요 | cheoncheonhi malhae juseyo | Please speak slowly
한국어를 조금만 해요 | hangugeo-reul jogeumman haeyo | I speak only a little Korean
한국어를 조금만 해요 is not perfect for every situation, but it is friendly and clear. It tells the other person to slow down or simplify.

Price and payment phrases

Korean | Pronunciation | Meaning
얼마예요? | eolma-yeyo? | How much is it?
카드 돼요? | kadeu dwaeyo? | Can I pay by card?
현금만 돼요? | hyeongeumman dwaeyo? | Is it cash only?
영수증 주세요 | yeongsujeung juseyo | Please give me a receipt
봉투 주세요 | bongtu juseyo | Please give me a bag
In Korea, card payment is common, but small markets or older shops may still prefer cash. 카드 돼요? is short and natural.

Pickup and waiting phrases

Korean | Pronunciation | Meaning
언제 찾을 수 있어요? | eonje chajeul su isseoyo? | When can I pick it up?
얼마나 기다려야 해요? | eolmana gidaryeoya haeyo? | How long do I need to wait?

제 이름은 Sarah예요 | je ireum-eun Sarah-yeyo | My name is Sarah
전화번호는 여기 있어요 | jeonhwabeonho-neun yeogi isseoyo | My phone number is here
찾을 수 있어요 is useful at dry cleaners, repair shops, clinics, and places where you come back later for something.
