To find a locker at a Korean station, ask 물품보관함이 어디예요?: "Where are the storage lockers?" On the screen, choose 보관하기 to store a bag and 찾기 to retrieve it.
Locker systems vary by station and operator, so the buttons and payment methods are not identical. The Korean sequence, however, is usually predictable: choose storage or retrieval, select a size, pay, save your access details, and close or open the assigned door.

The word 물품 means an item or belonging, 보관 means storage, and 함 means a box or container. You may see the full 물품보관함 or the shorter 보관함.
Do not assume the lockers are beside the train platforms. Show the word to an information-desk employee and ask the question directly.
The two buttons that decide the process

Choose 보관하기 when you are putting luggage in. Choose 찾기 when you return to collect it.
The -하기 ending turns a verb into an action-button label. You will see the same pattern on other screens: 결제하기 ("pay"), 확인하기 ("confirm"), and 취소하기 ("cancel").

가능 means possible or available; 사용 중 means currently in use. Check the inside dimensions or test your bag before beginning payment when the system allows it.

At major Seoul subway stations, staffed storage may be another option. The Seoul Metropolitan Government's Subway Storage Facilities guide lists T-Locker and T-Luggage services, locations, sizes, hours, and current fees. Outside that system, follow the instructions posted at the specific station.

Read 기본 시간 together with 기본 요금. A large number on the first screen may cover only the initial period, with 추가 요금 charged afterward.

Storage and retrieval may be limited by the station or service's operating hours. Check before leaving the area.
Set the access method and pay
Different lockers may use a PIN, receipt, QR code, phone number, transit card, or app. Read the exact screen rather than assuming which method applies.

Do not use an easily guessed PIN or show it to people nearby. Photograph the locker number and keep the receipt, QR code, or confirmation message somewhere you can access without the stored bag.
Finish storing the bag

Do not walk away after placing the bag inside. Confirm that the door is locked and the screen says 보관 완료.
Save a photo of the locker bank and a nearby exit number or shop. Large stations can look different when you return from another level.
Retrieve your luggage
Select 찾기 or 물품 찾기, then follow the access method you set earlier.

Take everything out before closing the door. Some systems end the session once retrieval is confirmed, so do not close it with an item still inside.

The pattern -다고 나와요 means "It says ___ on the screen." Show the error and say exactly what appeared rather than pressing random buttons repeatedly.
