You learned the word 한국말, meaning Korean language. You can read the Hangul clearly: 한-국-말. But when a Korean speaker says it quickly, it may sound less like han-guk-mal and more like han-gung-mal.
You are not hearing wrong. This is a normal Korean pronunciation change. The spelling stays 한국말, but the sound changes because ㄱ comes before ㅁ.
The spelling stays the same
First, keep this clear: you should write 한국말, not 한궁말. Korean spelling does not change just because the pronunciation changes in speech.
