2 Korean Snacks You Must Try | Jenny’s Picks & Korean Childhood Favorites

🍭 Do You Like Korean Snacks?

If you’ve ever walked into a Korean supermarket or convenience store, you probably felt overwhelmed (in a good way!) by the endless shelves of colorful, fun-looking snacks.

There are so many delicious snacks and drinks in Korea — it’s almost impossible to introduce them all in one post!

But today, let me share two of my personal favorites — including one recommended by Jennie from BLACKPINK on a talk show!

🍌 Banana Kick (바나나킥)

This is a soft, sweet banana-flavored snack that melts in your mouth.

It’s shaped like little crunchy puffs

The banana scent is gentle and sweet

Even babies and toddlers love it!

If you like snacks that aren’t too salty or heavy, Banana Kick is a perfect choice.
No wonder Jennie loves it too!

🐟 Goraebap (고래밥)

This one’s a total nostalgic snack for many Koreans.

“Gorae” means whale, and “bap” means rice, but don’t be fooled — it’s not seafood rice!

It’s a crispy, salty cracker shaped like sea creatures (whales, squids, fish).

The mild, savory taste is super addictive!

Many Koreans grew up eating Goraebap, and even if it’s not as popular these days, it brings back warm childhood memories.

💬 Want to Try Them?

Next time you’re at a Korean market (or shopping online), try saying:

“바나나킥 있어요?”
ba-na-na-kik i-sseo-yo?
→ “Do you have Banana Kick?”

“고래밥 먹어봤어요?”
go-rae-bap meo-geo-bwass-eo-yo?
→ “Have you tried Goraebap?”

These are great ways to chat about snacks with Korean friends — or impress your favorite K-pop fan!

🧡 Final Crumbs

Korean snacks aren’t just food — they’re full of fun, nostalgia, and personality.

Whether it’s Jennie’s go-to treat or a snack that brings back childhood memories, Banana Kick and Goraebap are perfect little windows into Korean everyday culture.

Which one would you like to try first?
